This is one of the best hotels you can find in the UK at any price range. However, this was cheap in price and I believe that someone cannot get the same value for money anywhere else in the UK. Reaching the hotel was very easy. It has wide road access and a huge parking area. We arrived at the hotel right on time and the room was ready in crystal clean condition! The twin room we booked for our family (2 adults and 2 kids) was very spacious and clutter-free. The way that they have architected the washroom/wc door is very practical when you travel with the family. The washroom and towels were very clean and even the room and bedding were spotless. For both days of stay, they provided free water bottles (which is rare in UK hotels), and they also kept many packets of different types of biscuits in addition to coffee/tea/milk/chocolate. Bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer... we couldn't ask for anything more. Whatever we needed, it was there in the room! We also had dinner in the Fishbone restaurant downstairs. Even though our 1.5-year-old son was screaming all the time, the staff was very kind and gave us some colour sticks with drawings so that the kids could get themselves occupied. The food was excellent and they have a few great beers as well (the blue moon witbier from the draught/tap was perfect on that day).

Room clean and comfortable. Hotel happy to look after our luggage until our room was ready as our plane landed in the morning. An Animangapop convention was being held in hotel during our stay but was contained within the public area and unless you actually attended the event you would never know it was being held there. It was great fun to watch the cosplayers and they were so friendly We went to the inhouse restaurant for our evening meal which was served quickly and efficiently and cooked beautifully. A Starbucks coffee shop is very close to the hotel and was a nice alternative to visit for breakfast. The cleaning staff were friendly and efficient in their work. One of our party became quite ill during the early morning and the reception staff were great in helping us locate the nearest local emergency hospital and arrange for a taxi to take us there.

The room size for the rate we paid was fantastic! Especially beginning of school summer holidays. The staff were so friendly and really polite and went above and beyond. I booked a room with a bed and a sofa bed due to both children being active sleepers and high possibility of falling out of the bed. Sofa bed was safer option. We were given a room with 2 double beds which was fine but not ideal as we had our toddler who needed a safe space to sleep. We asked if there was a cot available and they did a ring around and found one for us. They were just fantastic! Staff on arrival were polite, staff serving breakfast were cheery and helpful and the staff cleaning the rooms were so considerate and friendly. Will stay again for sure

Staff friendly greeting on arrival. Room was large and comfortable. Nice to have a large bed to oneself. There was a problem with staff, so a note was passed under our door saying they would no be cleaning our room, but, they would if we did need it. Must admit l loved the upgrade that was offered, for any extra £38 l was offer a room with 2 Queen Size beds with a breakfast on each of the 3 days we were there. Originally l did not book breakfast at £13+ per person, but then 6 breakfasts for £38+ a no brainer. If you are not a fan of little pots of milk, you could go down to bar and get a jug of fresh milk which you could put in you ice bucket to keep it cool. Get your ice bucket fill at bar whilst you collected your milk.

There was plenty of free parking outside, which is why we considered this hotel. The spacious reception area looks lovely, modern & very clean as you walk in. The staff were very professional, efficient & friendly on check in issuing us with a door card each. Great double room, spacious, clean with towels and toiletries all supplied correctly (on 3rd floor). Free tea, coffee, biscuits, water etc no complaints. The room had aircon which was greatly needed as it was very hot outside. There are 2 large lifts, which are quick. There are bus stops nearby which take you into the city (about 20 mins ride). Also plenty of outside seating space to make the most of the lovely weather.
